(HBO) – As part of efforts to implement the Politburo's Directive 05-CT-TW on
strengthening the studying and following of President Ho Chi Minh’s thoughts, moral
examples and lifestyle, the Party Committee and locals of Tong Dau commune in Mai
Chau district have actively studied and built effective models, contributing to achieving
socio-economic targets of the locality.

The Party Committee of Tong Dau has nine Party cells with 242 members. Each year, the local Party Committee has closely associated political and ideological education for Party members with the implementation of Directive 05, while educating all Party members on the significance of studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, moral example and lifestyle.
The most obvious change in the work is the specification of the efforts in studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thoughts, moral examples and lifestyle into action programmes in association with the implementation of major tasks of organisations and localities. Many outstanding methods and models in the work have been found. Kha Trung Thanh, head of Tong commune said that with 59 Party members, 137 households, 98% of whom are from Thai ethnic minority group, the studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thoughts, moral examples and lifestyle has brought about positive changes in mindset and actions of locals, especially in economic development and the building of cultural families.
In the future, the communal Party Committee will continue to promote the leading role of Party members and local officials in all fields, while strengthening inspection and supervision, especially in sensitive areas such as land management and use, budget, public property and the implementation of policies.
At the same time, the commune will continue enhancing the quality of Party meetings, while encouraging and multiplying effective economic models. The locality aims for over 42 million VND in annual per capita income, while reducing the ratio of poor households to 4.31%.
Loc Van Tuong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the communal Party Committee, said that the studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thoughts, moral examples and lifestyle in association with patriotism movements have been spread to all aspects of the social life and people from all walks of life in the locality, contributing to completing the political tasks of each village and units.

In 2023, the relic site where President Ho Chi Minh visited the Chi Hoa Production Group in Lam Son commune, Luong Son district of Hoa Binh province, was officially recognised as a provincial-level revolutionary historical site. Each year, it draws numerous visitors from across Vietnam and abroad, becoming a "red address" for educating young generations on the nation's revolutionary traditions.
According to the Party Charter, Party members who have been active in the revolution for a long time, and have maintained their Party membership for 30 years and more, will be awarded the Party badge. This is a noble reward, not only a source of pride and excitement for the Party members themselves and their families, but also a source of pride for the Party organisation that has such outstanding members who are shining examples for everyone to learn from and follow.
