Recently, the movements launched by the Youth Communist Union of Phu Vinh commune (Tan Lac) have received positive responses from the union’s members and the young people, creating a strong spread, demonstrating the spirit and enthusiasm of the youth for the social activities. Thereby, it has been contributing to building a rich and beautiful homeland and organizing a strong base for the Youth Communist Union.


The Youth Communist Union of Phu Vinh commune (Tan Lac) has donated a playground to the children in Giac hamlet.

 

Visiting the goat raising model of Mr. Dinh Cong Tho's household in Giac hamlet, one of the largest goat-raising households in the commune, actively learning, visiting, gaining experience, he boldly invested capital, participated in the training classes, consulted books and newspapers about animal care and disease prevention, and actively sought the output for his product. Goat gives birth to 2 litters a year, each litter has 1 - 3 babies, after 6 - 7 months they can be sold, weighing 20 - 30 kg/head, not only consumed in the communes and the district but they are also bought by many traders from the neighboring areas. In addition, Mr. Tho is also an active union member, actively participating in the emulation movements organized by the Communal Youth Communist Union and helping those in difficulty. 

Mr. Tho says: "In 2014, my family raised goats with an investment of 20 million VND. I built a barn of about 30 m2 and bought 4 breeding goats to raise, now the herd has over 70 goats. Raising goats is quite leisurely because there are few diseases and they are omnivorous. They are raised in captivity combined with grazing land to help goats grow quickly and the goat meat is of guaranteed quality and is positively received by the market. With a selling price of 130,000 - 150,000 VND/kg, after deducting the cost the profit is from 70 - 80 million VND/year”. 

Mr. Dinh Van Lap, the Secretary of Phu Vinh Commune’s Youth Communist Union, says: "The entire commune has 107 union members in 10 Youth Communist Union branches. In order to promote the pioneering and volunteering spirit of the Youth Union Youth Union members, the Executive Committee of the Commune’s Youth Communist Union has renewed the content of activities, associated with each specific job. From there, the Youth Union members actively take the lead in the movements, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere among the youth, and it is an environment for Youth Union members to practice, contribute and grow. The commune’s Youth Communist Union has implemented a variety of grassroots-oriented activities and movements, attracting the youth participants such as: Summer volunteer campaign, the Youth month, the youth of Phu Vinh commune participating in building new rural areas. ... received a large response from the young people, and many outstanding examples appeared, contributing to the local socio-economic development”. 

The commune’s Youth Communist Union has coordinated with other departments, branches and unions to organize volleyball and football tournaments, cultural exchanges to celebrate major holidays; Establishing core volleyball and soccer teams, practicing daily to compete and interact within and outside the district. They have coordinated with other associations and organizations to build houses of gratitude, giving gifts to the poor students who are studious, participating in humanitarian blood donation, propagandizing, disseminating and educating traffic safety laws; Teaching children to swim and propagandizing about drowning prevention; Food hygiene and safety for students, young people and teenagers in the area. Carrying out the work of gratitude, the Executive Committee of the Commune’s Youth Communist Union and other organizations always pay attention to visiting and encouraging the families under prefferential policies and people with meritorious services to the revolution during holidays and Tet with many valuable and meaningful gifts... 

Supporting union members to start businesses, Phu Vinh Commune’s Youth Communist Union has been promoting propaganda and actively implemented the preferential policies of the State, especially the capital to support youth startups through the Bank for Social Policies. Currently, the Commune’s Youth Communist Union manages 4 savings and loan groups with 167 borrowers, the total outstanding debt is over 6 billion VND, there is no overdue debt. Many Youth Union members have been supported with loans, advice on job creation, and building models of effective economic development such as raising pigs, cows, and goats, growing purple sugar cane, and citrus fruit trees for the stable income. 

Through the emulation and volunteering movements, a vibrant and enthusiastic competitive atmosphere has been created, demonstrating the enthusiasm of Phu Vinh commune's youth, contributing to building an increasingly developed homeland.
