Together with the whole country, people of all ethnic groups in Hoa Binh province celebrated the Lunar New Year of the Dragon happily and safely. The warm weather on the first days of the new year made people more joyful, in harmony with the bustling pace of spring life.


 Fireworks display on Da River on New Year's Eve brings in confidence and wishes for a good new year.


This year, all the districts and Hoa Binh city organised special cultural and artistic activities and fireworks displays on New Year’s Eve, meeting the enjoyment needs of local people and creating a festive atmosphere and motivation to successfully complete socio-economic targets for 2024. Before, during and after the fireworks displays, the situation of security, order and traffic safety was all guaranteed.

In Lac Son district, a large number of people flocked to the Muong Flower Garden amusement park in At hamlet, Vu Binh commune. On this occasion, this park held an online photo contest to attract the participation and response of young people.

At Pa Co tourist site, Pa Co commune (Mai Chau district), Mong ethnic people organised night market activities, including art performance competitions and folk games.

In Cao Phong district, from the second day of the first lunar month (February 11), many tourist groups visited the Meddom Park tourist site (Heritage Park of Vietnamese Scientists). Duong Ngoc Phuong, Deputy Sales Manager of Meddom Park, said from the third to fifth day of the first lunar month, the park welcomed about 300 visitors a day, mainly from Hanoi.

In addition, spiritual tourism destinations in the province had various early spring activities, notably the Tien Pagoda festival and the Bo Temple festival.

In a difficult economic context, to ensure that all people enjoy a warm Tet, the Party Committee, authorities, Fatherland Front, and the entire political system of the province paid attention to and promptly took care of policy beneficiaries, poor households, disadvantaged groups, and children in special circumstances. Cultural, artistic, physical and sports activities were promoted, meeting people's need to enjoy spiritual culture during Tet.

After the week-long Tet holiday, localities are focusing on leading and directing the implementation of key tasks. Farmers begin cultivating the winter-spring rice crop, and strengthen disease prevention and control measures for livestock and poultry, while workers in establishments, businesses, and factories in the industrial park return to work.
