In Hanoi this August, a new exhibition entitled "Truong Sa in Our Hearts” will display the works of 12 photographers who have visited the archipelago.

(HBO) - Cao Phong district has just organized a propaganda festival in 2018. 13 propaganda teams from 13 communes and towns have brought to the festival 52 performances in three contents: arts, propaganda skits and picture presentations about news and art to attract the audience. Teams participating in the festival have selected many practical and attractive topics such as: studying and following the ideals, ethics and style of Ho Chi Minh President; the sea and islands of the Fatherland; New rural construction; prevention and control of domestic violence; traffic safety, etc.

(HBO) - Tan Lac district of Hoa Binh province has successfully organized an agitprop competition festival for 2018, drawing more than 400 actors and artisans from 22 troupes from communes and towns across the district.

HBO – Lac Son district in Hoa Binh province now has two recognised traditional craft villages, namely the Luc brocade weaving village in Yen Nghiep commune (recognised in October 2013) and the Bui rattan and bamboo village in Nhan Nghia commune.

(HBO) - From the high level of the agreement from the local people, at the end of April 2013, Group 10, Thinh Lang Ward (Hoa Binh city) deducted funds to buy a full set of 12 Muong gongs, which was worth 24 million VND. The Party Secretary, Ms. Bui Thi Dinh, used to be a great gong artist; therefore, she already revised by herself and taught other women how to play the ancient gong songs such as: đi đường (travelling), bông trắng (the white flowers), bông vàng (the yellow flowers), bến rậm (crowded harbor), and sông bờ (the bank river). The Group also invited good artisans in other places to come and teach them more.

(HBO) - There are 80 households in Group 10, Thinh Lang Ward (Hoa Binh City), and over 90% of the population are the Muong ethnic people. Along with living in the center of the city, economic and cultural exchanges, modern cultural flows have greatly influenced traditional cultural activities. In young children, little could speak the local language of the Group, also women do not know how to play gongs, which make the staff and members of the Group anxious and seek direction to restore the identity. However, there was only one set of gongs in the whole ward which was assigned to Group 9 for management and some of them were old and damaged.
