(HBO) - Hoa Binh province has been seen as a cradle of human development. The traces of the Hoa Binh Civilisation found in the province have helped domestic and foreign archaeologists, scientists and anthropologists learn more about the early days of modern humans.
(HBO) – Hoa Binh province is an ancient land where humans came to reside from very early periods. The Hoa Binh Civilisation was discovered in 1926 by Madeleine Colani, a female archaeologist of France. In 1932, it was recognised by the world and officially took its name.
(HBO) – Thirty-five members of the Mo Muong Thang club in Cao Phong district, Hoa Binh province, gathered in early November to exchange experience with other Mo Muong artisans from Tan Lac and Lac Son districts.
(HBO) – Hoa Binh province is an ancient land where limestone mountains lie southeasternwards and create many basins and valleys with rich fauna and flora diversity. Due to these natural conditions, humans in the prehistoric period chose this land to reside, creating a renowned civilisation called "Hoa Binh”.
(HBO) – The Stone Age lasted about 3.4 million years and ended around 8700 - 2000 BC. During this period, stone was widely used to create sharp-edged, pointed or single-sided hammer tools used in hunting and gathering.
(HBO) – In the early period of the New Stone Age (the Neolithic), with the appearance of the grinding technique and the contact with different groups of inhabitants nearby, prehistoric humans not only practiced hunting and foraging but also used fire to cook food and make pottery objects.
(HBO) – The Hoa Binh Civilisation is a famous prehistoric one found in many Southeast Asian countries, of which Vietnam is home to the biggest number and most diversity of vestiges. More than 130 sites dating back to this civilisation have been discovered in Vietnam, including over 70 in Hoa Binh province. The presence of the Hoa Binh Civilisation is proof that Hoa Binh - Vietnam is one of the cradles of humankind.
(HBO) – The organising board of a workshop marking 90 years since the world’s recognition of the Hoa Binh Civilisation held a tour of some typical archaeological sites of this civilisation on November 22. Participants included officials of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the ministry’s Cultural Heritage Department, the Institute of Archaeology, the Vietnam Archaeological Association, and domestic and foreign scientists. Vice Chairman of the Hoa Binh provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Toan, officials of some departments and sectors, and representatives of the Lac Son district People’s Committee also joined the delegation.
(HBO) - Hoa Binh province is working to mark 90 years since the recognition and the study of the Hoa Bình Civilisation. This is a major cultural event aimed at popularising and honouring the special archaeological values of a renowned Stone-Age civilisation in the world.
(HBO) – In Da Bac district – residence area of Tay and Dao ethnic groups, learning their own scripts has been maintained, contributing to preserving cultural identity and exercising equal rights among the ethnic groups.
(HBO) – The board for information and education of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee has held a teleconference of presenters ahead of the 90th anniversary of the world’s recognition of the Hoa Binh Civilisation. Head of the board Nguyen Dong chaired the event.
(HBO) – The Museum of Hoa Binh province has coordinated with the Centre for Southeast Asian Prehistoric Studies and the Vietnam Institute of Archaeology to excavate the Trai Hamlet cave and the Vanh Village stone shelter in Lac Son district, which are national archaeological relic sites and also home to diverse and outstanding items dating back to the Hoa Binh Civilisation.
(HBO) - On November 11th, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to listen to a report on the preparation of the 90th World Conference on recognition of Hoa Binh Culture (1932 - 2022). Mr. Nguyen Van Toan, the Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, the Head of Workshop Organizing Committee chaired the meeting.
(HBO) - The entire political system and people of Hoa Binh province have joined hands in carrying out synchronous and long-term solutions to help Mo Muong win the UNESCO’s recognition as an Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding. Mo Muong is a rite of reciting Mo (poetry) during rituals of the Muong people, in which the Thay mo (shaman) plays the main role.
(HBO) - In November 3rd, in Cao Phong district, Cao Phong’s Department of Culture and Information Department organized the exchange of Mo Muong Thang club of Cao Phong district with Mo Muong club of Tan Lac district and Mo Muong club of Lac Son district. There were the representatives of the leaders from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, People's Committee of Cao Phong district, the representatives of the departments, branches, socio-political organizations of Cao Phong district, and many Mo Muong artisans and the club members attending the meeting.
(HBO) - The people of ethnic groups in Kim Boi district of Hoa Binh district have been proud to belong to the Muong Dong area - one of the four Muong regions (Bi - Vang - Thang - Dong) which is rich in cultural identity.
(HBO) – The Hoa Binh Civilisation is a renowned prehistoric civilisation in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. It is associated with French archaeologist Madeleine Colani (1866 - 1943), who discovered, studied, and named this civilisation between 1926 and 1931.
(HBO) – The Hoa Binh provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has coordinated with the Centre for Southeast Asian Prehistoric Studies to conduct a study of stone carvings on Co Spring in My Thanh commune, Lac Son district. The carvings are linked with the old belief of residents in local mountainous areas in the past, home to many relics of the Hoa Binh Civilisation over 20,000 years ago.
(HBO) – A great national unity festival was held in Ngoc Lam residential area in Cao Son commune of Luong Son district on November 2.
(HBO) - The Boarding High School & Secondary School for the ethnic minorities in Cao Phong district collaborated with the District’s Department of Culture and Sports to hold the opening ceremony of the class teaching Muong gongs for 50 students of the school and to launch the club of "Preserving Muong Thang cultural identity”.
