A project to build a road from Da Bac town (Da Bac) to Thanh Son district of Phu Tho province is invested by the People's Committee of Da Bac district with a total capital of 250 billion VND (9.8 million USD). According to the report of the People's Committee of Lac Son district on the results of building the new and improved rural areas in the district, there are currently 4 communes reaching 10 - 14 criteria, including Nhan Nghia, Tan Lap, Yen Phu and Tan My; There are 6 communes that meet less than 10 criteria, including Vu Binh, Xuat Hoa, Thuong Coc, Yen Nghiep, Huong Nhuong, and An Nghia. The average number of the newly improved rural criteria has reached 9.6 criteria each commune so far.

There are 10 out of the 15 communes meeting the standards of the new rural areas, an average of 16.0 criteria for every commune. According to the implementation plan of the National Target Program to build new rural areas in 2024, the district aims to have one more commune meeting the new rural standards this year, it is Ngo Luong; Two communes meeting the standards of the advanced rural areas are Dong Lai and Tu Ne; trying to reach an average of 16.5 criteria a commune by the end of the year and there are 3 more products being recognized OCOP.
Up to now, Kim Boi district has 6 out of the16 communes meeting the standards of the new rural areas including communes: Nam Thuong, Sao Bay, Vinh Dong, My Hoa, Dong Bac, Vinh Tien (reaching 37.5%); no communes are meeting the standards of the advanced or model rural areas.
A delegation led by Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, paid a working visit to Mien Doi commune, Lac Son district, on June 13. joining the working delegation were Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Dinh Cong Su and leaders of some departments and agencies, among others.

The Hoa Binh Steering Committee for the implementation of the child protection programme on May 28 launched the action month for children in 2024 with the theme of "practical actions, prioritising resources for children”. The event drew Bui Duc Hinh, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council; and Nguyen Van Toan, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee and head of the Hoa Binh Steering Committee for the implementation of the child protection programme.

According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the total resources mobilized to implement the National Target Program on building new rural areas from 2021 to 2025 in the province is expected to be 25,000 billion VND.
