In 2023, the People's Committee of Hoa Binh province directed well the implementation of the New rural construction program. Hoa Binh province has 7 more communes meeting new rural standards, the total number of communes in the whole province meet new rural standards 80 communes; on average, it achieved 16.2 criteria/commune.
In order to complete targets and criteria in population, the Population-Family Planning Sub-Department of Hoa Binh has strengthened communications to enhance public awareness and change community’s behaviours on population and development in the new situation.

Tan Lac district has assigned forestland to local people under contracts with a view to protecting the forest and generating stable incomes for its residents, especially those in areas with special difficulties.
