(HBO) - The Hoa Binh Power Company, a subsidiary of the Northern Power Corporation under the Vietnam Electricity group, held a parade on May 21 in response to the Month of Action for Occupational Safety and Health (OSH). The event gathered local young people and electricity workers of Hoa Binh city and Ky Son district.
(HBO) - Along with power, water consumption in summer, especially during hot spells, has increased. According to the Hoa Binh Clean Water JSC, so far, water consumption in Hoa Binh city has risen about 3-5 percent on a yearly basis. The demand for water of locals is about 16,000-18,000 cu.m per day and night. However, in the high temperature period in late April and mid-May, the water consumption surged sharply to about 20,000 cu.m, or even 25,000 cu.m per day and night.
(HBO) - The rural road network in Cao Phong district, the northern province of Hoa Binh has been given a facelift as compared to 2013. Bumpy roads in Yen Thuong, Yen Lap and Thung Nai communes and inter-commune routes between Bac Phong and Xuan Phong have been replaced with asphalted and concrete ones. The upgraded traffic infrastructure has helped spur local socio-economic development.

(HBO) - From April 29 to May 1, the tornado accompanied by a whirlwind occurred on a large scale in Da Bac district, causing a lot of damage to houses and crops of the people in almost every commune in the district. The total damage has been estimated at over 600 million VND.
(HBO) - Luong Van Phuong, Deputy Director of the Hoa Binh Power Corporation, said to ensure safe and stable power supply during summer, the corporation has ordered its units to implement Plan No. 700/PCHB-KT on maintaining power supply for holidays and the hot season.
